This ad was created by the Competitive Enterprise Institute, a conservative think-tank that promotes laissez-faire free market interprise, that's been given about $1.6 million dollars from ExxonMobil. They're very pro-buisness.
Take this video with a very thin grain of salt. They aren't environmental experts, they're buisnesspeople. |

Sharp, come on now.
Why would a pro-buisness, conservative think-tank create a series of advertisements trying to discredit global warming and promote high energy emissions?
It's pretty easy to connect the dots here.
One moment, let me link you a video from Phillip Morris that tells everybody how cigarettes aren't bad for your health. |

well, the articles they're referencing (which I can't find) may not be entirely false... also according to NASA, the ice front in the Ross Sea (Antarctica) is levelling in its decrease. It's been slowly melting for millennia, but it seems to be slowing down now, looks like it might be due to the ice from the ground sticking to the Ross Sea ice shelf.
A hasty retreat? Positions of grounding line (circles) and ice front (triangles) in the western Ross Sea versus time from present. Positions are projected onto a flowline following ice stream B, West Antarctica. Labels of ice front positions denote cores collected in 1994-95 (7). Former grounding line positions are from core Df80-177 near Drygalski Ice Tongue ( and in vicinity of McMurdo Sound (9). Positions at -14,000 years are estimates of positions during Last Glacial Maximum. Lines represent possible retreat behavior discussed in text.

Global warming is a direct consequence of the decline in numbers of pirates.

If global warming doesn't exist, then why is the microcosm of pollution known as Los Angeles in such shitty shape in terms of air quality? _________________

mmm...
not necessarily... and that's the claim they're making.
They're saying carbon dioxide is harmless.
Now, they're not saying the other crap we pump into the air is harmless, but CO2 seems to be the main greenhouse gas, and they're saying it's not. _________________ Come into my den let me hear you cluck

But it is a greenhouse gas... they're lying bastards that only want to promote their business interests. I hate people like that... disregard for anything except making a profit, which I find many businessmen and conservatives are for. _________________

not that many...
just the companies that get rich off harming people/the environment. Big Oil doesn't want us to stop using their product, even if using their product makes our atmosphere slightly more toxic.
Big Tobacco doesn't want us to stop smoking, even if smoking kills.
Prime examples of industries that should diversify, and then drop their old product. But they won't, 'cause their original product is making them the most money.
Still, if hydrogen fuel cells take off, I wouldn't be surprised if the oil companies added hydrogen to their repertoire...
and then they'd find some way to charge big bucks for a gas you can collect yourself. _________________ Come into my den let me hear you cluck
