The creepy satanic music was actually a work of art. Regardless of its content.

From Wiki:
Music
An original score for the film was composed by Jerry Goldsmith, for which he received the only Oscar of his long career. The score features a strong choral segment, with a foreboding Latin chant. The refrain to the chant is, "Sanguis bebimus, corpus edimus" (Latin, "We drink the blood, we eat the flesh"), interspersed with cries of "Ave Satani!" (Latin, "Hail, Satan!"). Aside from the choral work, the score includes lyrical themes portraying the pleasant home life of the Thorn family, which are contrasted with the more disturbing scenes of the family's confrontation with evil.

Why are they remaking this? The original kicked ass, I am not so sure about this one.

I'll be seeing both, the original first, for comparison purposes. And for general kickassery.

I just saw the original. And it was pretty damn good. From the looks of the commercials for the remake, it seems they added a bunch of stuff. Neutral

I've never seen the original, but the trailor I saw of this new version looks pretty good. Usually I'm not into watching horror movies, because they are so LAME....but this one looks decent. I may pay to see it. Or I might just download it. We'll see how it goes.

It wasn't really a horror movie as much as a suspense/creep-you-out movie. But this one will probably be more horror than the latter. It'll still be good either way.

I have seen the movie and it was not that good, cause I have see the original , and read the book so if you are going to see it just know it was a fun movie, but not very scary. If I were to recomend something creepy it would be The Jacket.

Probably not. For some reason older movies usually have better background music (in general.)
