Alright, I have two things I'm doing right now. I'm going to need more people for one, and the other I'm just telling everyone about because I'm just awesome like that.
First of all, if you haven't visited my website yet, DO IT NOW, FOR THE LOVE OF XENU (except Xenu sucks).
Second, I am planning on starting a Podcast soon where I, with about 3-5 other people, will talk about upcoming movies and stuff. If you are a movie freak like me, then just let me know if you wanna be part of my Podcast. You must have a working microphone and download the program Skype (don't worry, it's free). It'll be a weekly thing, too, so you'll have to be able to do it on the day we do it, or else.
Thanks for tolerating me, and I hope I get some people who are interested. |

Hey, that sounds fun. Can I be a guest speaker sometime, if you do guests? I have been a guest on a couple podcasts before, I love doin that. I would ask to be one of the regular speakers if someone I know does it too.
Sounds like a great idea. I think I'd listen to it.

Is it really necessary to have your navigation bar be Flash? That could be simply acheived with a couple of images and JavaScript, and the files would probably be smaller. Or maybe I'm just used to working that ways. Also, why Times New Roman? It seems like so many people use it just because it's the default in so many cases. There are more interesting fonts out there, heck, better serifs (I <3 Garamond and Book Antiqua particularly, Georgia's pretty nice too).
How long did it take for you to do this, out of curiousity?
I will give you credit on the logo, though. It's sweet. :3

no.
You need no apple products to podcast.
You need an XML file and several MP3 files.
And webspace.

It's not terrible but it's so generic. I like Verdana personally, but it's also rather overexposed--but the thing is about overexposed fonts is that you can be sure that people have them on their systems. You have to worry about that too. The thing is fonts like serifs were more intended for book type and reading because the serifs make it easier to follow. Sans-serifs like verdana are more title-ish and whatnot. Most serifs will make you look professional and traditional, and a fair amount of sans-serifs will do the same (like my personal favorite, Franklin Gothic).
If you want your podcast on iTunes you either need an RSS feed or .mac, the apple internet thing. Or that's what my friend told me. ITS is probably right about that.

an RSS feed is an XML file.

Oh really? I didn't know that. I know what XML roughly is.
I don't know much about coding. I know HTML and CSS and that's about it, I used to know JavaScript but about all I can do now are rollovers. I don't think any of those count. Though I might get together with a friend who does do coding and do a little webdesign as a summer business thing, he handling code and myself graphics. :3

To record it, you can, but you can even use Windows Sound Recorder if you friggin' feel like it.

you make one. Look at my last post for an example.
if you wanted to add another post to the example I posted, insert another <item> block before </channel>.

it's just a text file, like HTML. Save it with the .XML extension and you're good to go.
