Maverick Online
Clouds clear, dawn falls, dust blows, and the year is 30XX.
This game will of course be taking place in the Megaman X universe, but requires no prior knowledge what so ever to get into the game and have fun.
Right now I'll give a little background information. The game takes place in the year 30XX, a year in which Reploids (Androids which can basically duplicate a human's mind set. The original Reploid was Megaman X, created by doctor Thomas Light) run amongst the world beside humans. And now, a quote from the mmhp.
Dr. Thomas Light created a robot he named “Mega Man X” which was the first of its kind to be able to think and make its own decisions. Fearing that this new robot could be dangerous, but lacking the time to find out for sure himself, Dr. Light sealed X in a capsule to be opened in the future, when the robot’s loyalty could be determined.
A man by the name of Dr. Cain found X’s capsule and released the robot despite the warnings Dr. Light had posted on the capsule. This new scientist was immediately impressed by X’s advanced, humanlike intelligence, and using X as a model—though there were things he had to change since he either didn’t understand how they worked, or he wasn’t able to duplicate them—Cain created more robots similar to X which he hence called “Reploids.” Unfortunately for Dr. Cain, Dr. Light’s greatest fear came true. The new robots rebelled against humankind and became a powerful enemy called the Mavericks.
True and loyal, X took it upon himself to stop the Mavericks.
In the MMX universe, there are many reploids. Mainly, they fit into three classes. Maverick Hunter, Neutral, and Maverick.
In this game, each player will start off by creating their own repload using the following format.
And any other personal information one might wish to add. After a character is created, they will be given a starting location and possibly a condition.
There are two points to this game. Figuring out who is for which party (Mavericks or Hunters), and the battle of the two opposing forces. During the game play, at any given time a player can become Maverick. The thing is, once you go Maverick, you're Maverick till the end. When a player decides to go Maverick unannounced, they must PM a GM (me) on which post they've gone Maverick, so if they get called on being a Maverick they can't deny it.
If a hidden Maverick is uncovered, they're added to the Maverick list which will be in this post so that every one knows their alignment, and can't be tricked or what not in the posts.
Basically posting will be done very similar to OM. I guess a color system could be put into use. But basically the way of posting would be done the same as OM, almost as if you were writing the page of a book.
Now in this game, what you want to do is come in contact (and defeat) people of apposing forces, and figure out who has gone Maverick. If you act neutral, you can have the best of both worlds and eventually take a stand either way.
Starting Plot
Signas, current head of the Maverick Hunters is sitting in the Maverick Hunter HQ. Encoded information scurries across his moniter, and one tidbit catches his eye.
Signas, reconnaissance faction F has uncovered disturbing news about a new faction of Mavericks. They are claiming to have broken off from the Red Alert Syndicate. Please contact X.
Signas: X? I don't recall X being placed in a reconnaissance faction.
Signas then calls X.
Signas: X, what is this I hear about a "New Maverick Syndicate"?
X: Colonel, we have a problem. It seems that this new Maverick Syndicate, which has yet to be named, is well armed. Remember the supply unit that was taken by force two years ago?
Signas: Yes, I seem to be able to bring up files on it.
X: That unit was carrying blue prints of new forms of weapondry.
Signas: What? What kind of weapondry?
X: Long range, high impact. Basically it carried the ability to mass produce nuclear based weapondry, easily capable of whiping out all of the humans, while also causing many Reploid casualties.
Signas: Hmm....Have they put any of the blue prints into action?
X: Not that we have discovered. But, it seems that Hailey's Commet is coming into view, and anonymous intell has informed us that some sort of weapon, similar to the Enigma which we had stopped Eurasia with, only much better equipped.
Signas: Well, I suppose that the hunters should be able to keep watch on this.
X: That's the other problem.
Signas: Enlighten me.
X: We also have word of Maverick Espionage.
Signas: Hmm?
X: It seems that more mavericks have joined the ranks of the Hunters in order to keep their identities covered. It also seems like they're relaying information back to their heads.
Signas: This is not good. I want the message put out that all hunters should be on guard, and keep an eye out for suspicious activity amongst them selves and others.
X: Understood. We'll keep in touch?
Signas: Look forward to it.
And that's how it started.

Name: Hoff
Build: Very short, and stubby. Like, 2 feet tall.
Weapons: My mouth shoots lasers. And if I stare at you for for more than 7.375 seconds, you simply drop dead.
Starting Alignment: Neutral
Bio: I am actually a baby Reploid. I'm kind of funny looking. I currently live in a box.

Name: Scalar
Build: Tall, about seven foot or so. His back has a large fin-like spike sticking out of it. His chest is a bit wider than an average human's, while his lower torso is about the same size. His limbs are a seeries of spikes and metal yellow balls, not actually connected but held together by a powerful magnetism. By this same magnetic force, his head floats just above his chest. Here, here's a pic:
Anything circular on him is yellow, while everything else that's not black is purple. Scalar is unique in that only the black portions of his body actually contain any circuitry; his head holds his robotic brain while his lower torso contains within it the powerful electro magnets that keep his body together. Obviously, these places are well guarded, the rings around his torso emitting low-power forcefields while he can maneuver his disjointed head so as to defer blows to his sturdy helmet, making him difficult to damage for all but the most skilled.
Weapons: I know the picture has him wielding a sword, but that's not his sole weapon. Usually, both of his hands are the same. The large chestplate he has is a special metal that yields incredibly easily to Scalar's magnets, allowing him to hollow out his chest and morph the metal into different weapons, such as the sword and a beam gun.
Starting Alignment: Neutral
Bio: Scalar, who will be activated for the first time at the beginning of the game, is essentially an experiment with new electro-magnetic technology. Therefore, his intellegence is somewhat limited, at least by Reploid standards, as this was not the goal of his creators. None the less, he is a powerful ally, and presents great potential to either side.
Rockman, are you gonna kill players off, or are other players going to? _________________

Everything seems good, the character is awesome and actually would fit well into the X universe. Being the Megaman nerd I am, I know that Light used a form of magnetism with Megaman Classic's joints for better movement and strenght, which would lead into your character.
As for that last part, a player will probably initiate the death of another in some way, and I'd just put in the last call as to if it's a legitimate death or not. _________________

Heh, good to know it fits. Especially considering I came up with him months ago and just added that last bit about his Bio to make it fit the game. _________________

Gotta be picky about this. X isn't a reploid.
Reploids were a creation of Dr. Cain. He just used X's schematics to design them.
Zero is the best maverick. \m/
Zero isn't always Maverick.
X isn't a reploid because he's the original, he's the reason the OTHER's are reploids. But because of the main definition of reploid, X is often classed as one.
Any ways, that wouldn't be a problem since the players are required to create their own reploid. _________________
