The Neslives Project is just that. A project to keep the Nintendo Entertainment System alive. The main goal of this project, aside from providing your typical NES fansite, is to continue the legazy of the NES. This will be acomplished by designing NES like and inspired games. The goal is to continue NES. There is no limit to what the game format is in, although I my self tend to program in flash.

Right now the project could use some more members, and this thread is here to recruit. So far on the job from this site is:

Mr.Capcom(RockmanWilliam)
Cyber95
Mavhunter(?)
Sharp

and a few other people most S&Vers wouldn't recognize.

Not much is required to join in the project. We just ask that you have either some sort of skill in web design, imaging, game design, or anything else that may be useful.

If you wish to be a part of the project, please contact either me or Cyber and explain why you'd like to be included, and what you'd like to do.

The major work would probably begin some time around June Tenth.

More to be posted later.

I am proud to be a part of this. Imaging would be good because I'm so lazy.

Well we did start on an 8 bit megaman RPG a while ago ( a test document found at http://img305.imageshack.us/my.php?image=mmrpg2cg.swf ).

I also started a form of ff1 platformer sequel, which would eventually involve a class system, but I don't know if I plan on continuing it.
(http://img305.imageshack.us/my.php?image=ff1tower2gk.swf keep in mind this is a very crude test, basically just to mess around with coding the gravity. Move is arrows, space is legit jump, up flies ((for testing stuff)) and other buttons may do other random stuff).

Also we may be in the midst of making some sort of DDR game where you play as sprites of the team, and some other games maybe that I'm too lazy to think of or mention.

Pretty much sincew we're starting out, we don't have any games complete yet, but we are starting. The DDR one we just came up with today, but might be the first done, seeing as it shouldn't be _too_ hard, I'm guessing.

I'm assuming programming on that one I guess.

Shouldn't be too difficult, it's not more than a series of hittests and if statements.

We also intend on doing some online stuff in the future. And stuff.

You don't need to use flash, it's just that I my self use it for a lot of things. How are you with web design and stuff? And imagers are really appreciated.

True!

Actually, I've been playing Ice Hockey, Marble Madness and plenty of other NES classics a lot lately.

Nesticle in general is still one of the best emulators around, even though it hasn't been updated in about ten years.

I think the best was FCEUltra. Though nesticle is good for slower computers.

But the fact that Nesticle has still held it's own after so long is pretty amazing.
