Photographs are technically art.

The last one is a quick snapshot of my Latin project from a few years back. Two prints were made of a shot in Maymont Park in Richmond, VA. One was cut horizontally, the other vertically, and the two were woven and taped to the matting, just for safety reasons.

By the way, I got an A on the project.

I've got some art class stuff, I suppose. My scanner is broken/not big enough so I'll have to take photos with my crappy camera.

A linocut of Stalin, Churchill and Roosevelt at the Yalta Conferance.

Our assignment was to study an artist's style and use it in your own composition. I in retrospect, it would've been easier to do Dali if we had access to oil paints. Acrylic oh boy!

Chad the pink robot in watercolour, chalk and ink.

Oh, and I made this shirt.

What process did you use for the shirt? Screen print, I'm guessing?

Actually no. I cut a stencil out of freezer paper and ironed it onto the shirt (freezer paper is plastic coated on one side). We did screen printing in school but the process was way too long and difficult to get right. I could see how it would be useful for making a bunch of shirts with the same design but for one or two, it's too much of a hassle.

Hey kids, I've got fireworks and more pictures on my Flickr page!

That one's not a firework. It's a lamp post.

SERIOUS BALLS

good work mav. I'm probably the worst photographer in the world, if I tried to take a shot of a fireworks display it'd probably come out showing a rotting corpse.

christo: all three works are really cool. I like churchill in particular in the first one. and the mario pipe in the daliesque one.

I don't want to be fishing for opinions or nothing but what do you guys think of my recent stuff Devastated.
