Changed the title. Wanted to make it weightier for you, so you'd understand, but all it's doing is making me sick.

It's not as bad as it really sounds. He was unconsious the whole time, and we couldn't hear him breathing. Still, he was dead by the time the ambulance got here. First time dealing with this sort of thing. Life experience. We'd been really just waiting for it the past year. He couldn't really move much, he was breathing oxygen through a concentrator, though he'd been doing that for years. I just happenned to be visiting, and the next morning, I wake up and find out he'd fallen off the bed and hit his head.

It didn't hit me too hard, but I'm worried for my grandmother.

Wow, that's terrible. I've had two grandparents die, but not in person. I do remember the night that my mom, her brother, and others had to leave to go see about her that night... it's rough man, it's rough.

I lost two grandparents last year, both in the same weekend - I was especially close to my grandpa. I'm sorry to hear what happened. Hope your grandmother can work things out, I'm sure she will.

My grandparents are still alive, but I was hit hard with my dog's death last October. Don't worry about it too much, you'll make it through.

At least it was peaceful. He died naturally and not from pain.

Actually, he fell off the bed, hit his head, and blacked out from lack of oxygen in his blood. Better than many ways, but I could have hoped for better.

You already said he fell out of bed and hit his head in the first post.

Xaqwais gets an F for reading comprehension. Sad

my grandma died in 89. The family there took a picture of her in her casket like they did in the old days. It was really touching.

My granddad died in January. I wasn't too devastated until the funeral. I kind of wanted to think of it as some sick joke so I sort of was in disbelief that he was actually dead.

Sorry for your loss. "Death is a bitch."

I've never had a close family member who died. Cause I'm black and 13 (many black people have children at an early age, in fact, my grandma is only 66). I didn't know handling death in the family was actually this painful...

Don't play the race card, my older grandmother was only 68 when I was your age.

Which means my younger grandmother was 63 or so.
