I guess it's not so specifically about what he was saying - I simply wasn't happy with the VFX of his scarring. I was expecting something a little darker, redder, and not as see-through. It took me until half-way through the scene in the car with the mob boss before I was able to look back at the un-scarred side of his face, and by then I felt like I'd forgotten that he was Harvey Dent... maybe that was the intention, but I believe it distracted from really understanding the change in character.
That, and, the fuckin' sonar vision? LAME.
See, I thought the face effects were pretty great. I mean, in the comics Dent's face gets scarred with acid and turns green. I see Dark Knight's version as a definite improvement.
well, they certainly weren't going to turn him green and give him a suit with two colors, but the visuals were still a little weird to me. his eye reminded me of the 'mars attacks' aliens and he looked a little shiny in general. i wasn't very bothered by it though. _________________

Well, the suit he was wearing was split in half. The deranged half just looked like a cooked version of what the suit originally was. Also, his face was based on the Long Halloween incarnation, which was spot on. If you don't own or haven't read that graphic novel, I seriously suggest picking it up. Great story and a lot of the movie's plot was derived from it.
I was lucky enough to see the movie a day before it hit theaters as I have friends in "high places" (they work at the theater and they got me in for a pre-screening). On a side note, the Watchmen trailer looks amazing. From what I've read and heard about the production, it does a really good job of capturing the essence of the original graphic novel. Alan Moore, one of the writers and notably unsatisfiable with movie adaptations of his work i.e. V for Vendetta, took a look at David Hayter's script and said it was about as close to the original as you could get. _________________
