i love the blog, for serious. i've been watching so much tv lately, and i love reading thick criticism of it all. fuck, i'd probably write some of it myself if i actually had an outlet for it.

and dude, you're watching twin peaks this summer? shit is hella intense. i didn't actually get to finish it quite yet (life got in the way, haven't had the chance to pick it back up) but i'm likely restarting it soon. it's kind of ridiculously slow in some parts, plus there's a giant lull story-wise in the second season after they reveal laura palmer's killer and lynch was too busy being lynchian. overall really, it's definitely imperfect but still SO GOOD. i don't know all too much about the history of broadcast tv, but it seems like twin peaks was one of the first shows that was just unabashedly weird. i mean, you had traditional campy scifi before that, but twin peaks is such a fun genre bender.
