Yeah. There's barely any story at all; it's basically shooting shit and collecting better loot. If you like Champions of Norrath style RPGs and then FPSes you'd probably like it.

They even stole the rarity colors for the weapons straight out of world of warcraft. Which I suppose is handy if you're used to world of warcraft.

First time I played it was at a friend's, but that was the only time I've done multi-player. Was pretty fun, but I had chosen the soldier class and found out that it wasn't really my cup of tea. (I'm playing a hunter now.) Once I'm actually able to wrench my 360 away from my family (Lost marathonnnnn) I'm going to keep going through it; maybe we can play then. And hopefully convince some other forumites to join.

Marksman is so OP. I love it. I managed to use a level 20 gun all the way to the endgame because of it. I just liked the scope and fire damage.

3DS is March 27th for USA at $250. Looks like I'll have to hold off on this one as I have no money to spend, and if I do, it's going to Portal 2 and Pokemon Black.

Oh yeah, not to mention the launch titles are all "near launch" titles and they don't really appeal to me. I already own 3 versions of Ocarina of Time and though Pilot Wings looks cool, it's more of a "oh I'll buy this after it gets to like, $10."

LA Noire looks awesome. John Noble plays a character in it, and aside from the face capture thing - which looks amazing and not uncanny valley at all - that's why I'm buying it. John Noble is fucking awesome.

Okay, 3DS. There's still barely any commitment to an online strategy by Nintendo. Still no accounts to link purchases or to easily connect with friends. Friend codes are bullshit, no matter how many there are.

I don't really care about 3D. I think the 3DS initial design is ugly, just like the DS Phat was. And $250 is way too expensive for a hand-held system.

I'm waiting until they redesign the system (you know they will) and drop the price at least $50 to get it. By then it will have been 1&1/2-2 years, and there will be a much better library of games. The launch titles are pretty weak IMO. Almost all the first party titles are either remakes or retreads of staple titles that always come out on Nintendo systems. And most of them are slated for release this year. Nintendo did this with the Wii, too. Pushing all major first party games out in a 2-ish-year span means they're going to run out of staple releases. Nintendo is getting too comfortable using their known franchises and aren't coming up with many good, original properties. So, yeah, Neutral
