who the Secret Machines are? Jessica and I won free tickets to their concert tonight and I think we're going to go and make fun of their fans (there are areas in First Ave that we can go if the music is really annoying)
What I want to know is- Are they any good? What kind of fans are we going to see there? Tickets are $13, so I plan on seeing a bunch of young suckers that would pay $13 to see someone at First Ave. _________________

Oh, yeah, I have one of their songs. Um, well... it's lke prog rock. Real digitized stuff on top of the rock. Kind of like the Flaming Lips, but more toned down. Check em out on iTunes and see what you think. They have two albums now. _________________

I found their Myspace. Now I know who they are. It'll be weird to go to an nationally famous band's show after years of exclusively going to local/prebreakout shows. I haven't even been back to First Ave since 2003. It's about time I saw a show someplace other than the Triple Rock or a dive bar. _________________

I'd go see them, simply because their drummer appears to be channeling John Bohnam.
Also, the balcony bar at Frist Ave. is swanky.
Well, swanky enough for me. |

they have some good stuff. A lot of it is boring though. they'll probably put on a semi-good show. _________________

Yeah, once I turned 21 I only hang out on the balcony. Plus they have Tetris up there. _________________

| Honestly, If I won famous tickets to a show by a band I don't care much about, I'd sell them. |

I only mean that compared to a local band, or a lesser known band, a band that has been played on MTV tends to sell out. And First Ave can get pretty crowded.
We didn't end up going anyway. haha _________________
