bump

just finished watching. despite the plotholes, questions, and shortcomings i would bring up here, but wont, it was a very enjoyable film. liked it a lot.

am i the only one who felt bad for magneto during the ending scene?

Yeah, probably. Know why: BECAUSE THERE IS NO REASON TO! He moves that chess piece a little meaning that he's gaining his powers back. He'll probably be back at full strength in no time.

I saw X3 the same night as Superman Returns. Frankly, I thought it was fun enough, but it definitely isn't a "buyer" for me, and never will be unless X4+ brings in some true greatness. It's like an amusement-park ride: Fun to experience at the theme park/theater, but it'll be on the rental shelves until the end of time, and everyone else will be buying it anyway, so I needn't bother.

(Heh, "needn't". Listen to artsy-fartsy movie opinion guy.)

this movie still doesn't answer the question I've been asking since the first one...
if the X-men want to be like... accepted by humanity, why do they keep treating humans so badly?

And that's why Superman > X-men.

IMHO, the X-Men movie franchise has been co-opted into being a thinly-veiled "don't hate LGBT" campaign. I'm all for equal rights, but that approach seems kind-of embarassing.

i dont think ive ever seen them kill a human unless it was neccessary...in fact, most of the movies they're on the side that defends humans (if they're under attack)
