I never saw Waking Life, so the animation style is pretty new to me, and I
m not a huge fan of any of the "holywood ppl" on the screen.

I do think the premise is pretty cool, and Phillip K. Dick's past novels have translated well onto the screen. Also, the critics' take is that it's either amazing or horrible, which is good because id rather feel strongly about a movie (even if it's negative) than just leave theater with nothing memorable to think about.

Maybe if my friend can get me in.

That, or see it at the bargain movies.

I've been waiting to see this movie for 3 years.
You'd bet your FACE I'd see it.
And I'll see it 3 times.

A friend sent this to me a while ago. It's the first 24 minutes of the movie, all streamable and crap. I'm mixed about the animation... sometimes it seems like there's too much detail in background stuff. But it looks awesome, I'll say that.

I actually just got back a little while ago from seeing it in the city with a friend. It was like, the top floor of a 25 theater multiplex. Would've been great for theaterhopping. :o

IGN said somewhere it was hard to understand, so I'm told, but really, it's ridiculously simple to understand... or maybe my friend and I are just smart. The animation is kickass on the big screen--I'm not sure how it would look on DVD, because after seeing it on my compy and then seeing it live it was ten times better. It makes shit come to life, that giant screen.

so, pretty much, it was really good. totally want to read the book now. not feeling constructive.
