I always make that universal "brain freeze" face when I get them. And then all the people around me know, and nod sympathetically.

I've never had a brain freeze before. It sounds fun.

Kind of painful too, but I want one anyways, just to experience it.

Even worse than brain freezes is when an ice cream comes close to your teeth's gums and it's painful.

I get brain freeze really easily. I can get it just from drinking really cold milk. It's really annoying, because it hurts like hell.

I've tried the tongue on the roof of the mouth thing. It just makes it more painful, IMO.

I haven't gotten it in a while, but it's usually from ice cream. i also get ones in my throat and chest, those seem to be worse
