Well, I guess the closest one for me would be geek. I get good grades, play RPGs (Neverwinter Nights, WoW, Baulder's Gate*, Warhammer)**, and participate in Magic tournaments. Plus I collect strange-looking dice, most of which I get from GenCon and other various conventions.
* Yes, I do play both NWN and BG, despite how different the battle systems are.
** Mom won’t let me play D&D. Apparently, that’s much more Satanic than all other RPGs. |

from my classmates' perspective, most definitely a nerd. grades shouldn't tell whether or not you're a nerd, but to everyone that needs to copy off of someone, they do.
it is a little funny sometimes to get random IMs from girls i don't even know that start off all "nice and friendly and i'm just saying hello because you're so cool," but 30 seconds in, "hey by the way jon, do you know the answer to number 4 on that math homework..?  "
edit- but apart from that, i'm not a nerd for anything but movies and tv, i guess. i play football, baseball, and maybe basketball this year, i don't talk or dress or act nerdy (i hope D: ) but as long as i know the answer to "that one problem on our math," that doesn't matter.
