I just read about these in a book I'm reading and thought they were really interesting so I took one. It showed me how hard of a time I have associating 'good' with African Americans and said I have an extreme preference for white people. I've never thought of myself as racist, but the test tells me I am on a subconscious level. Odd.

What do you guys think of these? Is there something to them or not? Discuss.

that doesn't say anything about how I hate the white devil and wish all all Europeans went back to Europe, american and australian or otherwise.

the test itself was also dumb, they had images of costa rica and peru which are treated as "non-american" - this is the sort of bullshit I've come to expect from USAns and only makes me dislike the USA further.

That African American one at least doesn't seem very accurate. It's more like, "We're going to get you into the mindset that Eurpean and good go to the right, and bad and African American go to the left, then switch 'em up but you're still in that mindset so that you make mistakes that make you seem racist." So far as I can tell it's the same logic as behind those jokes that go something like "Spell mop. Now spell top. Now spell cop. What do you do at a green light?" and the person automatically says "stop."

I remember I took one or two a while ago. I slightly associated females with the sciences and males with the humanities (which make sense to me--most girls I talk to are into the sciences and the best writers I've known have been male). And I associated women with domestic stuff. but just because I associate things with other things doesn't mean I can't break beyond those bonds!

or some other bullshit like that.
