I finished watching A Clockwork Orange the other night. I thought it was fantastic.

The book is superb as well.

I'm pretty sure Ethan is mad at me because I said that Dr. Strangelove is overrated.

Well, it is. Not to say it's a bad movie of course, because it's still a damn fine piece of arse.

My favourite Kubrick is Full Metal Jacket though.

I dislike a Clockwork Orange and Barry Lyndon. The rest are pretty good. Yes, I even like Lolita and Eyes Wide Shut and The Killing.

Nah, didn't see that one. 2001, A Clockwork Orange, Eyes Wide Shut and The Shining were enough to turn me off to Kubrick.

Well, I guess if I had to pick a favorite, then I pick 2001. It was the least terrible...

really, the only two problems with it were the very confusing way it ended, and that the




pacing


wasn't


slow


enough.

1. as if that was a bad thing. who doesn't like a good mind fuck?
2. i like the pacing.

the one thing i hate about 2001 is the goddam monkeys.

and for hating the shining you get -10 cool points. i don't want to tell you how off the radar you are now.
