Meena was one of the foremost voices for Afghan feminism and human rights back in the day. She helped to found the Revolutionary Afghan Women's Association 1977, which still exists today, and is still busy as ever fighting for women's rights and general freedom in Afghanistan. During the Soviet occupation, Meena supported a legitimately pro-Secular and pro-Democratic third front against both the mutually oppressive Soviets and their "freedom-fighter" opponents. Too cool and radical for school, Meena was assassinated by a coordinated move by the KGB and religious fascists in 1987.
