never tried it... but sounds like it's based on ubuntu which is based on debian, and debian is my personal favorite distro.

well I didn't want to download it for a different processor, otherwise my computer might shoot harlequin fetuses at me out of the disc drive. _________________

Never used it, but I've used both Ubuntu and Kubuntu. If you prefer Xfce to GNOME or KDE, but want to try out Ubuntu, it's probably for you. I actually quite like Ubuntu. Like Dave said, it's based on Debian, but with "different goals" or something. And since it comes on a live CD, there's really no reason not to try it out, I suppose. _________________ Married to Terri.

While, they're pretty much the same distro with a different desktop environment, so. . . I seriously doubt it, since "running Xfce instead of KDE" has generally not solved my driver issues in the past. But good luck.
And assuming it doesn't work, you might wanna check this out. _________________ Married to Terri.

I think I tried that before. Any ways, this was an install disc and not a boot disc. Fuck. Stupid clicking. _________________

but it takes up sooooo much RAM.
Gnome too, really. I use Fluxbox on my linux machines, simply 'cause one is DSL which came with it, and the other has only 40 MB of RAM. _________________ Come into my den let me hear you cluck

Ah well, they'd work under fluxbox or KDE anyway, I'd assume. _________________ Come into my den let me hear you cluck
