My brother has a kubuntu computer that he uses sometimes, and he had some wireless connectivity problems, too. He got it fixed, though. I don't know how.

No, it was a PC, which was originally running Windows. He partitioned it.

Like I said. Click on the link I posted, then click on Dapper, since I assume that's what you're using. Then, you know, actually do what it says. I am pretty certain it will probably help you. Or don't. It's all good, really. I know you said you've already tried it, but since your Airport card still doesn't work. . . it's probably worth going through it again. _________________ Married to Terri.

If Der's advice doesn't work, you could try running Synaptic: instructions here- http://www.tuxmagazine.com/node/1000042
Hmm, if you have a ethernet card, you can run Synaptic, there might be driver update for your wireless card. _________________

Synaptic's for the weak. Real linux people just use apt-cache and apt-get. And that's one of the main reasons Debian is my favorite. _________________ Come into my den let me hear you cluck

Yes, but Tampax doesn't seem to be too experienced in Linux, cut her some slack. _________________

I'm not cutting Rockamn any slack. He's been messing with linux liveCDs for quite a bit now. If he wants to get anywhere with Linux, he's gotta overcome his Mac-instilled fear of command lines. _________________ Come into my den let me hear you cluck

Because the average Windows user is very familiar with the command line, of course. _________________ Married to Terri.

Dave what are you talking about, I love command lines. They're the best for backlogging the school computers with ASCII art. _________________

He meant modern users, Dave.
...
Wait, what did I have to do with the command line in DSL? _________________

Apparently I don't, because I'd argue that most Windows users don't know how to use a command line and probably aren't that familiar with DOS. Then again, I suppose I'm probably wrong, and all Windows users are very well-versed in using the command line and just hide it very well. Really, though, Rockman should be intimately familiar with Apple DOS, since all Mac users were raised on Apple IIs. _________________ Married to Terri.
