Man, I was playing that again the other day.

I was fighting Vile for the second time, in Sigma's fortress. I hadn't played for a couple years, at least, and seemed to remember that this fight was the one where you could kill him.

So I used practically all of my weapons on him, only to realize that no, Zero pwns him again, then you can fight to kill.

Just curious, why are the Gym Leader's levels so much lower in GSC and RSE in comparison to RBY? I can't remember what those acronyms mean, but I bet they're rad.

However, from the list of defeatable bosses, I can only think of Whelk from FFVI/III. Pretty much every other first boss that comes to mind isn't that bad.
