well, according to tim lahaye, this is all based on biblical prophecy! it's how the end times could actually happen!

really, i just felt like saying that. i -found- one of the books in the series (well actually four of them) and i took it with me and i haven't read it yet but i've been wanting to for years but the tricky part is even though they could be really interesting and fucked up for what they do to the bible they're written like bad detective novels or some shit like that. D:

And yeah, they are. I've only read the first one but it's surprisingly addictive. The movie was pretty lame though, save Kirk Cameron being a decent actor.

kirk cameron!

he was in a video to convert athiests. it's already made the viral video rounds, but i've actually sat through the whole program, with an english teacher with a background in philosophy watching alongside, debunking all the arguments presented. it was pretty borkin. kirk cameron turned hardcore evangelical. it's creepy.

I'm not going to watch that because I'm too lazy. D:

I still don't know what borkin means. D:

Now that we've derailed this thread completely what do you want to talk about? D:

I thought I was vaguely on topic! I'm religion-geeking-out! well, i'm not really helping the discussion anymore, am i?

And it's okay, I don't know what it means either. I just use it quite a bit online. I think it to mean "awesome."

fuck robots, that's even further off topic.

i think i should say something about protestant theology here but i can't think of anything appropriate.

Religion should be outlawed because it lacks compassion and promotes hatred of homosexuals, gay pop star Elton John said in an interview.

Geez...I like Elton John, but that was a really dumb thing to say. How the hell does he propose doing such a thing? Does the word holocaust ring a bell?

I just can't believe when people say something like that. Religion, no matter how ridiculous (or not) one finds it, should be a right.
