You really catched Schulz's style, well done. I have trouble properly imitating artists (lately I've been mildly obssessed trying to Frank Millerize my work).

In case anyone doesn't know: Rincewind and The Luggage are recurring characters in Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels. Rincewind is a hapless hero, sorta like an Arthur Dent for the fantasy genere. I highly, highly recommend Pratchett's books to those who haven't read them, partly because they spoof the fantasy genere in much the same way the Hitchhiker's Guide books spoof sci-fi, except Pratchett's fantasy writing tends to be better overall than many (most?) "serious" fantasy writers.

Anyway, the other image is one of the "official" illustrations of Rincewind and The Luggage by Paul Kidby, whose Discworld work I really like. As you can see, the "real" Luggage appears to have lots of little humanoid legs; something I could never quite accept. So whenever I imagine it, I imagine lots of little, simple jointed pointy legs that would be made of the same wrounght iron as the edge-bindings and lock of a trunk. I also included carven teeth and a steam-age telescope on a complicated, squeaky mounting.

The ZZZ on the hat are an allusion to Rincewind's own hat, which has the name of his vocation embroidered on it, although not with very good spelling: "Wizzzard". Also, this sketch was done on the back of a business card. I was jonesing to draw something and I was stuck at Pizza Hut with no paper, and a dear, dear friend gave me one of his biz cards. All of that is to say please don't get on my case about how his leg looks too long or some crap.
