| They're not really comparable. Gwar's costumes are inspired from very different sources (and not as good) and their music is way different. |

Sure they are. Their music is different, so thus GWAR plays better music. ;D |

Okay, I see it now. A band who dresses like monsters and plays thrashy heavy metal with keyboards is WAY different from a band who dresses like monsters and plays heavy metal without keyboards.
I'm going to hazard a guess that you didn't actually bother to compare both bands before you said they're "not comparable". Sorry Sharp, but I'm going to resort to flaming and call you retarded.
You're retarded. |

No.. For one: This is no longer the 80s. What Lordi plays is in no way heavy metal. Gwar on the other had, is very heavy metal. GWAR's costumes are more D&Dish, while Lordi's are inspired more from horror movies. Believe it or not, I've seen this argument dozens of times, since I occasionally go to a lordi message board, where ther are people who are fans of both bands, arguing on either side. I assumed you wouldn't try to make it into a flame war because of the forum we're on, but now you're just trolling. And that end bit... Just didn't make sense. When you called me retarded, that was obviously trolling. If there was sarcasm in that second part of your post, you're not too good at showing it.

I wasn't aware that heavy metal died in the '80s. This is bad news. _________________ Married to Terri.

| No. It was redefined. Lordi would have been called heavy metal in the 80s, now they'd be lucky to be considered metal at all. |

| No, Lordi would still be hard rock in the 80's. Heavy metal today still has a specific sound, it's not a genre that encompasses all other kinds of metal. Lordi would only have been called Heavy Metal by people not knowing that they're talking about. |

| Oh yeah, that's the majority of people. Especially when people thought that (heavy) metal was satanic and shit. |

| Yeah, that's why lordi had to go into eurovision. They just had absolutely nothing to lose. The heavy rockers said they were too melodic, and the parents thought they were going to burn their churches. |

Hard Rock Hallelujah (the song, not the album) is hot garbage.
