that's why you gotta always get the special for the stop girl. It goes away when you hit the ground, but that's what aerial crashes are for.
anyway... stop girl's special is the best.

yes, and the one that turns you green, too.

Not sure what Red does (charge boost?), but Green gives you double-boosts...
and I believe when you're either, the stop girl drops you automatically.

EDIT: And yellow: Bounce Boost!

There's a bunch of different ones you can get.
There's one that if you hit the ground, you go faster.
