I like It's the End of the World as we Know It (and I Feel Fine).

I don't know any other REM songs.

come on, besides the fact that they're both 80's bands and have an unconventional vocalist, talking heads have nearly nothing in common with R.E.M....geez.

I shook Stipe's hand at the concert at the Oakland colisseum during their Green tour. I personally love their music up until MONSTER. I kinda fell outta favour with them since Berry left.

I LOVE this Seseme Street vid with them as guests: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkHM8xG6i8o
I love the kate Pierson puppet

They're not bad, but by no means the best.

Also, the album Murmur is total crap. The songs all sound alike. I'm never sure when the track has changed. The first time I listened to it, I though "man, this first song is really long," then looked down to find out I was on Track 7.

I think Murmur is awesome. REM still has that vintage "college sound". Besides Murmur was the number one album my medic class listened to all the time.

I like you, kid - but that is the most retarded thing I've ever read.

if you actually gave a legitimate reason to not like one of the greatest debut albums of all time, then I wouldn't mind.

but you hate it because all the songs sound the same? what the fuck? they all are so FUCKING different. I mean, seriously. compare radio free europe to perfect circle. if you think they're the same song, you're an idiot. maybe you should actually pay attention to an album - clearly you weren't, you probably just had it on in the background while you were jerking off to some fucking nintendo character.
