No, I'm saying that companies make multiple endings so that you feel like you are basically in control of what happens.
I say that it just turns into a headache because you want the best ending. |

| And searching for the "best" ending usually means looking up information about all the endings in advance. In my mind that sort of, you know, spoils the endings. And also makes moot any discussion about how linear / non-linear a game is. |

Warcraft, maybe, but Diablo was fairly light on for lore, for the most part.
At least, in the parts where you have to go click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click

I understand there are books, though. _________________

I think the best thing about Warcraft lore is what WoW often does to it. "Oh, the axe that literally killed a god drops in the first raid you're likely to do when you hit 70 off of a boss who has no real reason to have it and, in terms of actually using it to kill other players, is pretty much inferior to a mace you can make yourself? That makes sense." _________________ Married to Terri.

Eh, I would rather see most/all of the content the game has to offer after one playthrough, and not have to deal with going through the game X more number of times. |

play the good ending play the good ending play the good ending.
Also, the WoW expansion and subsequent patches ruined much of the continuity of the plot. |

It still does, really. It just doesn't make as much sense now. _________________ Married to Terri.
