A story told in a different language. I can watch the movie on mute and understand what is going on. The Director is phenomenal.

Sweeney Todd was fabulous. The chromaticism in the music blew me away and I have had the 'Johanna' duet stuck in my head for days because the harmonies between the two interlocking vocal lines blows my mind. I thought the melodies were very memorable, personally. I would love to see the original musical and, once I get around to it, listen to the unabridged score.
I am v. excited about the Academy Awards this year. I'm actually going to watch them. Huzzah.
